In this post, I’m going to show you the right way to use peppermint oil for tension headaches, trust me, it works.
I used to suffer from terrible tension headaches in the past, it’s because I had a terrible mattress, I was sleeping the wrong way, and even worse, I had neck issues because of my pillow!
Well, I no longer have these issues because I take good care of where I put my head, and most importantly, I don’t stay up very late!
Indeed, I started to become extremely aware about what I am doing to my body on a daily basis, and trust me, sleeping better is the most important remedy you can use for your tension headaches, I don’t know your particular situation, but I can guarantee you that if you look into the reason why you have such headaches, I’m sure you are going to find lots of simple things you can do on a daily basis in order to relieve them.
I’m not judging you, and I’m not saying that you are making terrible choices in your life, but if you are suffering from tension headaches, then, you are definitely putting a lot of stress and tension over your neck muscles, which is causing you lots of headaches, anyway, let me show you right now how you can use peppermint oil to get rid of such painful sensations very fast.
The first thing you need to understand is that there are two options you can use, the first one relies on using pure peppermint essential oil directly onto your neck and forehead, trust me, this will work, but if you have a very weak skin, it can increase itchiness and cause inflammations all over it!
I do not recommend this!
On the other hand, the only solution I do recommend is mixing peppermint oil with a carrier oil, in your experience, I highly recommend that you mix one drop of peppermint oil, pure essential oil, with two drops of almond oil, then, I simply want you to apply on your neck and most importantly, below your nose.
After just five minutes of doing this, this will help your tension headaches disappear and it’s also extremely powerful for relaxing your muscles and making you feel extremely at ease and relieved.
For me, the best thing that has helped me get rid of my tension headaches wasn’t using peppermint oil, but it was paying attention to what I was doing wrong on a daily basis, I found out that I was suffering from lots of weight issues, I wasn’t taking good care of my health and my diet, and most importantly, I was consuming lots of pro-inflammatory foods on a daily basis, so, I highly recommend that you increase your intake of fruits and vegetables, they are going to lower inflammations tremendously, and you should also consume one tablespoon a day of ground flaxseeds, it will help you a lot, most importantly, you need to start consuming lots of beans, especially lentils, trust me when I tell you that they are very powerful, they are going to lower inflammations all over your body and most importantly, your headaches are going to become a thing of history.
Don’t forget about grains, lots of fiber in your diet is a good thing, so, this has also helped me with my tension headaches, I’m not trying to convince you of changing your way of life, I’m only trying to share with you what has worked for me and what will work for you most definitely.
