In this post, I’m going to show you the best way to dilute peppermint oil, most importantly, I’m going to share with you the best carrier oil I use myself, and most importantly, I will share with you the dosage you need to always respect.
So, without further ado, let me ask you this very important question: why is it so important to dilute peppermint oil?
If you don’t know the answer to this very important question, then, you have done a great favor for yourself by coming to this post and reading my advice, for a very long time, I was using peppermint oil and different essential oils, and trust me, one of the worst things you can do is to use peppermint oil, in its purest form.
Here, I’m talking about applying some few drops or even one teaspoon of peppermint oil, pure peppermint essential oil, on your skin, it’s not going to help you, it’s only going to cause lots of inflammations and stress to your skin!
I don’t want to scare you, but peppermint oil can be very frightening if you don’t know how to use it, it can increase heart palpitations, even cause hallucinations and headaches, let alone inflame your skin.
So, be very careful, and always dilute peppermint oil the right way, my way.
So, here is the best ratio in order to dilute peppermint oil very safely: always use 5 to 1!
I know that this is going to sound like too much carrier oil, but trust me, this is the best ratio in order to always keep your body and skin safe and away from being harmed by peppermint oil.
Now, let me share with you the best carrier oil I use whenever I want to apply peppermint oil on my skin.
It’s almond oil.
I know that a lot of you are going to think that olive oil or even coconut oil are the best, yes, they are fantastic, however, when it comes to peppermint oil, I really enjoy using almond oil because it doesn’t smell horrible as with olive oil, and yes, coconut oil smells nice, but it’s very expensive in my opinion.
So, I just prefer to stick to almond oil, it’s definitely the best carrier oil to use for peppermint oil.
So, always remember this: if you’d like to dilute peppermint oil the right way, you need to mix one drop with five drops of almond oil, or one teaspoon with five teaspoons of almond oil.
This way, even if you have a very weak skin, it’s going to work fine for you and it’s not going to hurt you.
And one more very important thing, always respect this ratio, whenever you would like to use peppermint oil, you have to dilute it, it’s for your own safety and protection, I share in this website different horror stories about overdosing on peppermint oil and applying too much, trust me, it’s not very pretty.
Please, if you have a question or a comment on how to dilute peppermint oil, do not hesitate to ask me in the section below, I will be extremely happy to help you.
