In this post, I’m going to share with you the right way to use peppermint oil for cooking and most importantly, how to stay away from overdosing on this very powerful essential oil, yes, I’m also going to share with you the right way to dilute it and get the best of it.

The first important thing you need to understand is that I do not recommend cooking with peppermint oil, I personally do not like it, it’s very powerful, and it’s going to cause lots of stomach problems if you have very weak intestines, like in my situation, but people are different, and sometimes, you want to use some peppermint oil , for example when making ice creams or cakes, it’s absolutely very safe, however, you need to be extremely careful with what you are doing.

I say this because a lot of are going to think that peppermint oil is completely fine for cooking, in other words, it’s extremely safe, but the reality is something completely different, after all, you are dealing with an essential oil, which can be extremely powerful and also very negative on your body if you don’t know what you are doing.

In the past, I tried to use peppermint oil for my skin, my scalp to be exact, so, I started applying about one teaspoon a day and soon, I felt extremely nauseous and very sick!

This is just to show you what applying peppermint oil, in high amounts, can do to your skin, let alone what it can do to your intestines and stomach!

It’s because a lot of people are simply going to start applying lots of peppermint oil, pure, in their desserts and different recipes thinking that they are doing themselves a favor, well, soon, they will start to feel extremely dizzy and tired at the same time, and I don’t want this happening to you, this is the reason why you need to always abide by this rule: never use more than one drop of peppermint oil in your cooking!

Yes, you have read correctly, I don’t want you to use more than one drop of pure peppermint oil, and even better, in this website, I’m going to share with you the right way to use it in my opinion, it’s diluting it with another carrier oil, in this situation, I highly recommend that you use almond oil.

So, here is what I want you to do: take one teaspoon of almond oil and simply mix it with one drop of peppermint oil, then, you can use as much as you want of this fantastic essential oil blend in your food and dishes, it’s very powerful, it still has lots of peppermint fragrances, however, it’s not going to cause you stomach problems and health issues, it’s very safe so to speak.

But in general, I do not recommend cooking with peppermint oil and applying it to your food, it can be very powerful with some people.

Please, if you have a question or a comment about cooking with peppermint oil, don’t hesitate to ask me in the section below, I will be very happy to help you.
